This week, we’d love you to meet our newest intern, Rachel Vellanikaran. Rachel is currently a sophomore at Emory University, where she’s studying biology. She is super passionate about animal health and sciences and hopes to pursue veterinary medicine after her undergraduate studies. On campus, she’s involved in the Emory Pawsitive Outreach Club, the Emory Undergraduate Service Journal Club, and does research at a neuroscience lab studying vocal behavior and motor control in songbirds. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, singing, and spending time with her 12-year black lab, Dinho!
